Application fields and precautions of high-purity helium gas
Helium, high-purity helium
scope of application
Due to its chemical properties, such as inertness and being lighter than air, helium is commonly used as a filling gas for spacecraft or promotional balloons, which is also well-known. High purity helium gas is widely used in mixed gases for respiration in the field of ocean development, as well as in superconducting electromagnetic cooling for magnetic resonance imaging equipment in the medical field. It is widely used in military, scientific research, petrochemical, cooling, medical, semiconductor, pipeline leak detection, superconducting experiments, metal manufacturing, deep-sea diving, high-precision welding, optoelectronic product manufacturing, etc.

Precautions to be taken
Use YQY-12 or 152IN-125 and other pressure reducers to depressurize and then use high-purity helium gas. To check the gas pipeline before use, please use soapy water to ensure that there is no gas leakage in the gas pipeline.
Ensure that there are no leaks of high-purity helium gas and that the workplace is well ventilated. If the oxygen content is below 19.5% due to an increase in helium content, the patient will first experience shortness of breath, lack of concentration, and ataxia; Subsequently, fatigue, irritability, nausea, vomiting, coma, spasms, and death occurred.
Packaged gas cylinders have a service life. Any expired gas cylinder must be sent to the department for safety inspection before it can be used again.
If high-purity helium gas is used in each bottle of exhaust gas, the residual pressure inside the bottle must be maintained at 0.5 MPa, and the Z-value must not be less than 0.25 MPa. The bottle valve must be closed to ensure gas quality and safe use.
During transportation, storage, and use, bottled high-purity helium gas is stacked by category. Do not approach open flames and heat sources. Keep away from fires, oil and wax, explosions, heavy objects thrown, and impacts. It is strictly prohibited to bend or bend on the cylinder body. Rough loading and unloading are strictly prohibited. High purity helium gas cylinders that move short distances are transported by specialized transport vehicles for cylinders. Long distance gas cylinders must be transported by dangerous goods transport vehicles.
The temperature of liquid helium is 268.9 ℃. Contact with the skin can cause severe frostbite.
